Yes. Portola Roman Clay comes in a broad stock range and can be custom tinted. We sample on site before committing, because these colors read very differently in daylight than under lamps.
Powder rooms, kitchen walls and bathroom walls away from direct water all work well, especially with a sealer. We do not put it inside showers or anywhere it takes standing water. If a wall is a poor candidate, we will tell you before you spend money on it.
Sealed Roman Clay wipes down with a damp cloth. Unsealed walls can be spot repaired, and because the material is layered by hand, a skilled finisher can blend a patch so it disappears. We leave you the color and batch details for exactly that reason.
Three things drive the price: how much prep the surface needs, how many coats and colors you want, and whether you add a sealed topcoat. An accent wall on smooth drywall sits at the low end. A full room with heavy texture to skim sits well above it. We give an itemized estimate after seeing the space, and the number does not move afterward.
Limewash is brushed on and dries chalky and matte with visible brush movement. Roman Clay is troweled on and dries smooth and velvety with soft cloudy shading. If you want texture you can see and feel, go limewash. If you want depth with a smooth surface, go Roman Clay.
